By creating an account on this Bookmarks instance, you agree to the following terms.

1. Service Description

Bookmarks is a free bookmark management service provided for personal, non-commercial use. No fees are charged and no premium tier is offered.

2. No Warranty

This service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The operator makes no guarantees regarding uptime, reliability, data integrity, or availability of the service.

3. Data and Backups

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. The service provides an Export feature that produces a standard Netscape HTML bookmark file compatible with all major browsers. You are strongly encouraged to export your bookmarks regularly. The operator is not responsible for any data loss, whether caused by hardware failure, software bugs, security incidents, or service discontinuation.

4. Service Continuity

This service is offered voluntarily and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. The operator has no obligation to maintain, support, or continue operating the service.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use this service to store, organize, or distribute links to content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others. The operator reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual Property and Copyright

All content you store (bookmarks, folder names) remains yours. The Bookmarks software itself is the intellectual property of its author(s). All third-party trademarks, logos, and favicons fetched by the service remain the property of their respective owners. Copyright protections apply internationally under the Berne Convention and applicable local laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

8. Privacy

This service stores only the data you provide: username, password (hashed), and bookmarks. No analytics, tracking, or third-party data sharing is performed. When fetching favicons or page titles, the server makes outbound HTTP requests to third-party websites, which may log the server's IP address.

9. Account Termination

The operator may delete your account and data at any time. You may delete your own data at any time using the in-app tools (Delete Bookmarks, Export).

10. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
